Gold Coast Cup Outrigger Changeover Race Results

The Gold Coast Cup was held over the week-end with 3 BRD crews racing from Greenmount to Southport. This is a tough race but once again our crews tasted success. OCC NATIONALS 14TH & 15TH MAY 2011

BRD Outrigger Canoe Club had 11 crews competing in the Outrigger Marathon Nationals held at Mooloolaba over the 2 days.Day 1 started with perfect weather for racing and the calm conditions on the water. BRD Trivia Night

You thought that was enough for one day - wrong! On Saturday night a team of BRDers setup a trivia night at the local Balmoral Bowls club in an effort to raise funds for our outriggers going to Hamilton Island.I've been told it was a great night and over $2,250 was raised. BRD Queen St Mall Promotion

In the Queen St Mall at 6.30am on Friday morning Skins and his team were setting up a couple of boats for an assault on Brisbane workers and visitors throughout the day.They'd already run out of flyers by just after 9.30am and had to do an emergency print run at the local Officeworks.Throughout the day we reckon we spoke to in excess of 1,500 people, handed out just under 600 flyers and the BRD br... Panamuna Marathon 30th April, 2011

Seven Crews competed on Saturday for the club with some great results across all divisions. Great to see so many paddlers and supporters up there early to help get canoes rigged and crews on the water.In the short course BRD had 3 womens crews and mens, with the club taking 1st place in both. Ryoko’s Drumstick

I would like to let you know that I have my OWN drum stick now, which is clearly labelled, 'COCOPOPS' on it.
